DESCRIPTION

An ORIGINAL commissioned oil or Acrylic painting of your subject on box Gallery Wrap canvas that is ready to hang.
This is a lovingly hand painted artwork and is totally unique. NOT digitised or created on a computer, so it will have visible brush strokes and texture.
These make perfect gifts or memorials of a beloved pet or animal that will last a lifetime.


THE PROCESS:
I love to paint pictures that try to capture the personality and character of your pet - so prefer to focus in on the head and 'shoulders' rather than the whole body.
For this reason I also tend to keep the background very simple in colour and without distracting objects. For me it is important to create a background that suit the colours of your pet, but if you have a specific request Iam happy to discuss this.

THE PHOTOGRAPHS:
I work from photographs so its necessary to have a good selection of photos to help choose the best pose and the clearer and more detailed they are, the better.
Before making a purchase to commission, I suggest you email me the photographs to help decide if it is possible to complete the portrait. You are under no obligation to purchase by emailing the photographs.
When choosing photographs, try to take pictures of your pet at eye level, clearly lit, close up and sharp.
If you want more than one pet in the picture, this can also be accomodated.

THE PAINTING:
The painting itself is in traditional oils OR Acrylics on a stretched deep canvas (1.5 inches deep). This canvas creates a lovely effect as the painting continues on to the sides eliminating the need for a frame (though of course its still possible if you decide to do this).

THE DETAILS:
When we agree photographs that can be used I will notify you when I start.
Completion takes 4-6 weeks , sometimes less, but I will try to meet personal deadlines if necessary. Also this time depends on already booked commission work or SIZE of your commission.
I will email you with a photograph of the finished artwork for approval before shipping.

Commission work purchased through my website will be shipped to you FREE of charge anywhere in North America. Outside of that area we will need to discuss further.
